This project required 37mtrs of Retrofit casting to fire protect the Macalloy internal roof bracing for two hours fire Macalloy Tension rods, reference, M76.

As part of the engineering, fire and structural integrity of Waterloo train station, engineers came together to assess the impact of a fire in the building. The exercise revealed that the tension rods at the station platform end of the structure needed to be protected from a potential weakness in the event of a significant fire which in turn could collapse while fire fighters were working on the building.
